November 20, 2009 // Mohawk Global Logistics acquires Upstate NY competitor, Diplomat Global Logistics

SYRACUSE, NEW YORK, 20 NOVEMBER 2009—Mohawk Global Logistics announced today the acquisition of the business of local competitor, Diplomat Global Logistics. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With this move, Mohawk strengthens its presence as the largest privately held freight forwarder and U.S. Customs brokerage firm in Upstate New York.

The acquisition will yield Diplomat’s additional freight volume, which the company will use to increase buying power with transportation carriers.
