Haiti’s capital city Port au Prince has been devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake. Early reports say there are more than 3 million people displaced from homes.

The people of Haiti are in dire need of relief goods.

There are many public sector and government responses already underway. Mohawk Global Logistics will add our services to the relief efforts. Here’s what we are doing:

Soliciting donations of relief goods from our clients to include: bottled water, blankets, cookware, camping gear, light clothing and footwear;

Soliciting cash donations to help pay for transport to Haiti (particularly from those companies that want to help out but do not have the type of products needed);

Coordinating clothing drives with volunteer groups at several local schools systems;

MGL will collect and transport all donated goods to our warehouse for consolidation into ocean containers or prepping for airfreight. We will work with ocean and air carriers to transport and deliver the goods to a distribution center in Haiti.
