We are seeking an Account Executive with creative initiative, solid communication skills, and an aggressive drive to develop and grow a client base.

Responsibilities


  • Market end-to-end logistics services inclusive of air and ocean transportation
  • Develop business prospects and a solid client base
  • Maintain current client accounts
  • Initiate contact with and make sales calls to new and existing clients
  • Create and deliver sales proposals and presentations
  • Keep accurate notes in contact management software
  • Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques
  • Clearly communicate opportunities for business throughout the sales cycle
  • Report sales activity to management on a weekly basis
  • Perform all administrative obligations within assigned deadlines

Requirements:

  • Proven success in gaining new business through prospecting

Job Title:

Import Coordinator

Location:

Rochester

Description:

Responsibilities include:

  • coordinating air and ocean import shipments
  • troubleshooting problems with Customs or other government agencies
  • participate in cross-training and assisting in organization of daily tasks on individual desks
  • instructing agent offices on shipment handling
  • building shipments according to customer requirements
  • choosing most reliable, cost effective service that will meet customer’s needs
  • tracking and tracing shipments to final destination
  • arranging clearance and delivery to customer facilities
  • taking proper action when needed to avoid delays or problems
  • preparing reports and/or advising clients of shipment status

Tasks include:

  • communicating with agents on a daily basis
  • setting up shipments
  • tracking shipments to delivery
  • processing Customs clearance

Requirements:

A thorough knowledge of Customs rules and regulations helpful.

Ideal candidate will possess the following traits:

  • self-motivated and able to prioritize
  • good organizational skills, ability to multitask, and very detail oriented
  • able to resolve problems in all aspects of job
